A Perfect Ten....and #1 in Two Categories!

Dear Friends,

For this month's post, I wanted to take a moment to share the incredible news that Studio K has just been named the #1 Best Studio Body and Soul for the 10th consecutive year by the readers of Orlando Magazine in the Best of Orlando Awards, and #1 Best Gym over fitness giants LA Fitness and Planet Fitness! Oh my goodness!

This double honor means so much to us not only because we collectively strive as a Team each day to offer the absolute best to our members and guests in service, in quality, in affordability, and in the home that we provide, but to be named #1 in two categories significantly achieves the overall mission that Studio K has always set out to have.

Since our inception, I created Studio K to be a place that not only offered a studio to learn or to facilitate the art of dance, as well as a resource of health and wellness, but Studio K was most importantly, built to welcome adults of all levels of ability with kindness. To provide a home, a community, a genuine family of support and connection to last a lifetime, and to be different than absolutely any other gym or dance facility in the country. It has always been my purpose to nourish and to fulfill all in mind, body and spirit, and to achieve a business like none other that never, ever feels like a business!

Many know my personal story as to how Studio K came to be, but in a nutshell, I had a negative experience that instantly showed me that I never wanted anyone to feel the way that I felt when trying to simply find a stress release of dance, a place to motivate me to improve my health, and ironically, an outlet to better myself, both body and soul.

Since the day I opened our doors, every single detail of Studio K matters to me - the warmth of the instructors, the comforting atmosphere of the studio, the ease and accessibility to drop in on your own terms at a fair price - everything even down to the scent of the candles, the lighting, sweet Bella giving snuggles, but most of all, being greeted when you walk through the doors knowing that above all else, YOU matter most.

The Best of Orlando Awards also mean the world to me this year because 2025 marks the 15-year Anniversary of Studio K! It has been a journey of many ups and downs, and by far and through it all, the only professional achievement of my life that truly counts, and that is honest to goodness because of each and every one of you. Connecting with everyone each day, seeing you smile, witnessing the confidence growing in so many, and hearing someone say, "this studio is my happy place," or "because of this studio, my whole life has changed," is without a doubt what gets me out of bed in the morning.

The votes we received to win #1, or how far we have come throughout the years, I never have and never will take for granted. Thank you does not begin to express how deeply grateful I am for your business, your friendship, your loyalty, and every time you choose Studio K to dance, or even just choose to stop by and tell me about your day, it means everything. I love you all - thank you for helping us to win this tremendous honor for a perfect ten years, and as we celebrate our 15-year milestone in September during National Dance Day (save the date, 9/20!), here is to many more years to come where we will never stop striving to be number one for you - body and soul.
