Don’t Call it a Comeback!

Hey, hi, hello again, Studio K Fam; it’s been a while! But as you know, lots has changed in that time. We’ve moved and over the last few weeks, we have pulled back the curtain on the big reveal of our amazing new home, changed up our class offerings, and even expanded our schedule to include morning classes. Basically? We’re in our Glow Up Era. Tosses hair dramatically.

Keep reading to get the scoop on all things Studio K: our convenient location, upcoming workshops, additional morning classes, the first community event in the new space, and more!

Our Brand New Studio Location

They say the best things come to those who wait, and while the road to get here was horribly bumpy with twists and turns abound, everything was so worth it when we finally parked the car. Not only is the new location conveniently and centrally located with easy access for the myriad of communities our dancers come from – but, even more than that, it’s absolutely stunning and honestly, gigantic. Like… huge. Plus, our new 4,000 square foot facility features: 

• Brand new professional, custom layered dance flooring

• A separate, very large private lobby to rest and relax away from dancers in the studio. 

• Three in-house large restrooms and water fountains 

• A 45 ft professional ballet barre wall

• Larger and longer mirror wall

• Full overhead and mood lighting

• Plenty of on-site parking

• And of course, it wouldn't be Studio K without a gold disco ball!

The ceilings are high, the dance floor expansive (think more than double the previous one), and our fur baby Bella even has her own office - let’s face it, she runs this place. :-) 

Gone are the days when you had to search for a decently close parking spot and walk up two flights of stairs before you could shrug off the weight of the day and lose yourself in the music. Now, you can park close to the door and walk right into your new dance home that glows with the same warm, welcoming energy, and deliciously scented candle. It’s seriously such a vibe.

More Morning Classes And a Saturday Workshop, Who Is She??

Our new home has afforded us more than just incredible amenities and a remarkable lineup of class styles - have you seen we even now have a new Barre class? Well, we've also started offering morning classes on Thursdays – something we’d never been able to do before. And because those classes have been so well-attended, this month we’re also adding another day of early classes to the schedule on Tuesdays! 

Since a good chunk of Studio K visitors and members are theme park employees and others with hours outside the traditional 9-5 schedule, this newly expanded offering provides even more opportunities to get fit and hone your skills. 

In August, morning classes featured will be: 

Tuesdays:

• Zumba or Broadway Cardio at 10 AM

• Barre Sculpt or Beginner Musical Theater or Jazz at 11 AM

Thursdays: 

• Beginner Technique and Dance Conditioning at 10 AM

• Professional Level/Advanced – Theme Park Dancer/Orlando Performer Technique and Conditioning at 11 AM

Our First Saturday Workshop

And that’s not all that’s coming down the pipeline for August! In addition to all of the epic Friday night custom workshops that Studio K has been doing exclusively for the last 16 years, this month, we’re also hosting our first-ever Saturday night Workshop option! This is especially exciting considering how popular our regular Friday Workshops are, so join us on Saturday, 8/22 at 7:00 PM for the new Descendants Wicked Wonderland Musical Theater Workshop event!

First Community Event in Our New Home!

Definitely not last and certainly not least (we are after all, just getting started!), we have some more new and exciting events up our sleeve. We may be an adult dance studio, but we’re also so much more than that – we’re a family; a community that aims to celebrate and uplift each other, and give back to the community at large.

One of our favorite ways to do that is through Studio K-9, our charitable division where we dance for dogs in need. In August, we’ll have our first Studio K-9 event in the new space where every dollar earned goes to the nonprofit, Hunter’s Village Rescue to help a dog in need…right here in our new home community of Hunter’s Creek! That event will be held on Saturday, 8/15 from 11 AM to 1 PM and will feature four of your favorite class styles in :30 minute class samplings! Also, speaking of community, don’t forget to also save the date for National Dance Day on Saturday, 9/19! It’s bound to be bigger and better than ever before in our brand new facility and you just don’t want to miss it. As you can see, there is lots to be excited about and even more in the months to come. It’s been a difficult year, but we made it through to the other side – and all of you made it possible. 

This studio would not be here today without the one-time visitors and Annual Members alike, and words just cannot express our love and gratitude for your dedication and patience throughout this long transition process, and for your excitement in returning back to your dance happy place! We’re still the best dance deal in town and it means everything to us to deliver to you the highest value and quality for the money and time you choose to spend with us.
