October Update

Kristin

Another new month is upon us and as I shared in my last post, I am deeply sorry to be running behind on my updates as it’s been a challenging few weeks! However, I am now back in action and Studio K is as always forging full steam ahead! 🙂 Here is everything that is coming up this month!

We have such an extra special month, as it is the lucky seven year anniversary since Studio K first opened its doors in 2010, that I am only going to cover what’s happening in-studio for Dance and Fitness because there is just so much to be excited about! Plus, the anniversary is especially important to me personally, so to honor that, we are going back in time to bring you the instructors, the classes and the special events and workshops that started everything off and left so many incredible memories that we still share together!

Here are your best dates to note:

Coming up this Friday night is our “Cell Block Tango” Workshop from Chicago! This workshop was one of the most successful for Studio K to date, and even performed at our one-year anniversary, so we are bringing it back again, this Friday beginning at 7 PM! See full details and invite your friends through our Facebook Event here!

Then on Saturday, October 21st, we are welcoming the lucky seven top instructors who opened the doors of Studio K! They are our amazing All Stars and they are all coming back for you! See six below and what they have in store, as you follow along through our Facebook Event!

Also, since the date we first opened was October 2010, our very first event at Studio K was a Thriller Workshop for Halloween! So of course, we have to bring that back again and that will feature our seventh All Star Instructor, Itzaida Rivera! Dress up, get in the Halloween spirit, and learn for the very first time, or show us your moves as you rock the classic Michael Jackson choreography! It’s all happening on Friday, October 27th, so follow along and stay updated through that Facebook Event here!

Then, one of our most important events this month is our Studio K-9 Hurricane Harvey event! This is our redo event from last month which sadly had to be canceled as we contended with our own Hurricane Irma, but we are back in action and our team is so excited to have a Friday Night Dance Party with you on Friday, October 20th! See all of the details for that one through our Facebook Events Page here. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Houston organization, Citizens for Animal Protection!

Another event near and dear to our hearts is that Studio K is hosting the Party in Pink Zumbathon presented by our dear friend and instructor, Giselle Bellorin and her company, GG Health & Fitness! In addition to all of the amazing Zumba instructors who will be dancing that day, will also be our very own Miguel Quinones Chapman! It’s happening on the 29th of October and it’s going to be an event to remember! See all of the details below, and join us in the fight against breast cancer as we turn Studio K pink this very memorable day. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation!

Last, and definitely not least, in addition to all of our amazing classes this month that you can see through our online schedule here, we are welcoming in dancer/choreographer/performer, Jonathan (JP) Stanley for a Contemporary Master Class. JP calls Orlando his hometown, but is currently living and working in Los Angeles. That event is happening on Wednesday, October 18th! See all of the details through our Facebook Event here and don’t miss this opportunity to train with an industry pro!

So as you can see it’s an amazing month with so much to celebrate and opportunities to have even more fun together! Grab your friends, hit the dance floor, and let’s have the best time this October!

Thank you so much to everyone, and as always, if you have any questions, comments or concerns, please post them here, or always feel comfortable to email me directly at: [email protected]

Have the best October to all and Happy Halloween!
