Orlando, FL, May 1, 2012 – GotChosen, Inc. (www.gotchosen.com), an innovative digital media and development company headquartered in Orlando, FL, is launching the largest scholarship drawing in the nation titled, “GotScholarship: $40k to Give Away!” There is no cost to participate, and the company will award $40K to one winner with a dream of attending college, or to pay for existing college loans. The scholarship may also be transferred by the winner to an individual of any age to pay for educational expenses.

The concept for the company was conceived during the economic struggles of 2008 by Founder and CEO, Osvaldo Silva. Silva’s focus was to assist anyone with the desire of completing their degree in higher education, but who did not have the financial means to do so. Silva’s philanthropic interest developed the first phase of the corporate vision beginning with the $40K scholarship drawing. The program will instantly establish GotChosen’s primary mission of assisting individuals and families to achieve their educational potential and life aspirations, and to introduce the company on a large national scale. Subsequent drawings will enlarge the scope of the company’s endeavors, but will remain focused on the college market.

“An essential element of the core values of GotChosen is a deep-rooted need and desire to give back,” said Silva. “Our team is eager to witness the wonderful things that will be done by the recipients, and to how this scholarship will change their futures. We hope that our donation to their dreams was the difference that made it all possible.”

The amount of student loans acquired in 2011 crossed the $100 billion mark for the first time in history, and total loans outstanding will exceed $1 trillion for the first time this year. The Federal Reserve Bank of New York, the U.S. Department of Education, and private sources report that Americans now owe more on student loans than on credit cards.

As the cost of higher education continues to increase, the traditional channels for student loans and grants are being limited by ongoing credit tightening, economic weakness, and governmental policies. For some, this situation creates an insurmountable obstacle to a college education, making the $40,000 scholarship from GotChosen a new potential way for students to achieve their goals.

The GotChosen scholarship is open to all: current students, previous students with outstanding loans, or even future college students. It is free and easy to enter, as well as being 100% transferable. In addition, the more individuals recruited to enter the contest on a student’s behalf, the more potential entries will exist to increase the student’s chances of winning.

You may register to enter for your chance to win the GotScholarship: $40K to Give Away Drawing by visiting the GotChosen website at: www.gotchosen.com beginning May 1, 2012 and the contest will close on September 30, 2012.

“This is only the first phase of our efforts,” Silva further added. “We anticipate creating a long line of scholarship recipients who will benefit. It is an exciting time for our young company, and we are hopeful that we will become a powerful creative and economic contributor for many years to come.”

Because of this decision, Ivan has spent the last seven years developing his skill, technique and style. Through his hard work and determination, he has been able to take on various roles and opportunities that have allowed him to grow as a professional dancer, as well as to establish himself within the industry. He’s a graduate of the Osceola County School of the Arts, has been a member of several studios and dance companies within the Orlando area, and now works at Universal Studios as a Parade Dancer. He aspires to be on Broadway, to dance for a major company in NYC, and to one day, travel to his favorite city, Paris, France.

We’re so happy to have you as part of the Studio K family, Ivan! Congratulations on being our May Instructor of the Month!

When did you discover your love for dance?

Actually, I was in chorus at Parkway Middle School when I realized that it wasn’t for me and that I needed to be dancing instead. After that year, I changed my elective to dance and have been doing it ever since.

What inspires your choreography?

Music inspires my choreography. Also, life and how it relates to a particular piece of music is a big influential factor in how I construct a routine. There’s so much that flows as far as inspiration, sometimes it’s hard to grasp the moment – it’s so beautiful!

Do you find that dance is a great way to stay in shape and why?

I definitely think that dance is a great way to stay in shape. There are so many styles of dance that allow you to move in different ways and help with cardio conditioning. It’s so much better than the gym.

How has dance impacted your life?

Dance has impacted my life in so many different ways. It has helped me to realize many things about myself, to grow as a person and as an artist, and to appreciate, not only the art of it all, but how beautiful life itself can become.

What advice do you have to people who are just beginning to dance, whether it is for the skill or for fitness?

I would encourage them to be open-minded. There’s a great deal out there to learn and being open to it, is the first step to becoming the artist you want to be. It will teach you to appreciate everything you set your mind to.

What is your favorite class to teach and why?

My favorite class is obviously Contemporary – it’s what I teach! ☺ I also love incorporating improvisation into the class. I feel that it’s a good way to start things off. It really gets your mind going and helps everyone to feel comfortable.

What do you like most about being a part of the Studio K Family?

Studio K is the first studio that has given me the opportunity to teach. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Kristin is such a sweetheart!

If you could do anything else in the world other than dance, what would it be?

When I was younger, I once said that I wanted to be a physician. I’m so glad that I didn’t go down that road. I don’t know what I would do without dance!

What phrase do you choose to live by?

“Some people feel the rain; others just get wet” -Bob Marley

Studio K member, Stephanie Turkovich discovered her love for dance fitness a little over a year ago, after taking her first Zumba class at a local gym. Soon after, she heard the news of Studio K’s grand opening and quickly found herself attending as many Zumba classes as she could. Since then, Studio K has become a huge part of her weekly workout routine. Some of her favorite classes include Zumba, Hip Hop Xtreme Cardio and Flash Mob Cardio. Eventually, she would like to branch out and try a few other styles, as well as participate in more Studio K flash mob events!

Originally from Beaver Falls, Pennsylvania, Stephanie moved to Orlando in 2006 after completing the Disney College Program. Currently, she works as a Phlebotomist for Florida Blood Centers and occasionally can be found working on the Big Red buses that you see traveling around the Orlando area conducting blood drives. On her down time, Stephanie likes shopping, traveling, spending time with family and friends, as well as attending local events involving arts and entertainment. One little interesting fact that you may not know about Stephanie is that she works seasonally as a Steam Engine Engineer at the Magic Kingdom!

Congratulations Stephanie, on being our May Member of the Month!

What is your favorite class at Studio K?

My favorite classes are Zumba and Hip Hop Xtreme Cardio.

Do you find that dance is a great way to stay in shape?

Dance is definitely a great way to stay in shape. It has toned parts of my body that my regular cardio/weight routine never has.

What motivational advice can you give someone who is starting a new workout
routine?

My advice would be to get a workout buddy. Two people that share the same fitness goals are more likely to help each other stay on track and maintain motivation.

What do you look for in a workout that will keep you coming back for more?

I like to switch up my workouts. I get bored with routines pretty quickly. When my workout no longer leaves me sore the next day, I know it’s time to mix it up.

If you could tell anyone one thing about being a member of Studio K, what would it be?

Studio K is such a welcoming environment for dancers of any level. It’s a place to dance for fun or to build skills.

If you could be anything at all in this world, what would you be?

Honestly, I don’t know what I would be!

What is one motto you choose to live by?

“Everything happens for a reason.”

Orlando, FL, April 9, 2012 – Studio K, (www.studiokorlando.com) an entertainment studio featuring the largest offering of dance and dance fitness classes for adults in Central Florida, a photography division, and a national public relations agency, has partnered with the Orlando Psycho City Derby Girls (www.orlandoderbygirls.com), an Orlando based, non-profit women’s roller derby league. Through this partnership, Studio K will serve as the primary entertainment performance for two upcoming derby matches this April.

Studio K was selected to provide dance entertainment to derby spectators featuring two styles – Burlesque on April 14, 2012, at the team’s final midnight game event, and Hip Hop at the April 22, 2012, Season Closer. The two events will highlight Studio K professional dancers and instructors, and will be held at the Semoran Skateway in Casselberry, FL.

“It is a tremendous honor to partner with such a talented group of women within the Orlando community who also represent a strong and thriving Orlando sports team,” said Kristin Weissman, Owner and CEO of Studio K. “We are very proud to be selected and are looking forward to providing the very best performances we can offer for the team and for their devoted fans.”

Orlando Psycho City Derby originated in 2009 under the Old School Derby Association (OSDA) and has quickly expanded into one of Orlando’s most popular icons among local female athletes today. The team challenges its boundaries as athletes as well as performers, delivering an exceptional show for the fans.

“It is more than just a sport, it is a unique and exciting way of providing the Central Florida community with an alternative form of entertainment,” said Tiffany Maitland, Co-Owner of Orlando Psycho City Derby. “We are excited to have Studio K here to be a part of our mission of providing guests an unforgettable experience, and to serve as a true testament to our efforts in highlighting and supporting local business partnerships.”

Studio K instructor, Michelle Tolentino was introduced to both dancing and singing at an early age. She took her first tap class when she was three years old and at the age of five, she began taking singing lessons from her grandfather. By the time she was an adult, both talents were prevalent in her life; however, it was dance that really became her true passion. From that point on, she discovered new styles on her own and ended up falling in love with Polynesian dancing and its surrounding culture and influences. This led her to become certified in HOT HULA fitness, as well as becoming involved in other areas of island inspired dancing. Currently, Michelle teaches HOT HULA fitness and Polynesian Fusion to Studio K members, giving them a workout unlike any other.

In addition to being a singer, dancer and mother to her three children, Michelle is also a Pre-School Teacher at Start Child Academy, a Luau Performer at nearby venues and attractions, and a Sales Associate for Scentsy and Melaleuca. On her down time, she enjoys exercising, spending time with her friends and family, and volunteering at Give Kids the World and Real Life Church. Congratulations Michelle, on being our April Instructor of the Month!

When did you discover your love for dance?

I have loved dance since I was three years old – that was when I took my first tap class. Even though that experience was short lived, I was still able to get a feel for it. However, it took me awhile to build my confidence. For the longest time, I was a spectator of dance or would only dance behind closed doors. I can remember dancing alone in my room to “Look Out Weekend” and countless 80′s songs. Finally, when I became an adult, I discovered Polynesian dancing and that was when it all happened for me!

What inspires your choreography?

Hula choreography is based on the meaning of words within the song. I use my hands to translate the words through motion, and sway my hips to the rhythm of the music. I feel the song in my heart and express the meaning through the dance.

Do you find that dance is a great way to stay in shape and why?

Yes, dancing is a great way to stay in shape. It’s also a great cardio workout. With consistency and proper technique, it can actually help tone and strengthen your muscles.

How has dance impacted your life?

I find that dancing relieves stress, no matter what your age is. So, open the door, get on the floor and dance your worries away!

What advice do you have to people who are just beginning to dance, whether it is for the skill or for fitness?

It is always important to have fun and remember that you are doing something great for your mind, body and soul! Give each new style of dance at least five tries before telling yourself you cannot do it. Chances are by the 5th class you will feel more confident in your ability. Consistency and discipline are important for any dance or sport.

What is your favorite class to teach and why?

HOT HULA FITNESS! I love Polynesian cultural dances. It feels great using my passion for the Polynesian culture and stepping it up a notch to a true fitness workout! I love sharing the “Aloha” spirit during classes and hope to build a bigger “Ohana” here at Studio K!

What do you like most about being a part of the Studio K Family?

“Ohana” means “family” and being a part of Studio K has been a blessing to my own little “Ohana” and me. I thank my Studio K “Ohana” for coming to HOT HULA fitness. Without you, I would not be here. Huge “mahalo” to Kristin for believing in me, no matter what! I truly appreciate the opportunity to be one of the first to bring HOT HULA fitness to Florida.

If you could do anything else in the world other than dance, what would it be?

I love singing and musical theatre! In my dream world, I would be on stage, singing as Kim from “Miss Saigon” and making the audience cry.

What phrase do you choose to live by?

“My family is little and broken, but still good.” ~Stitch

Studio K member, Meena Alajangi was eight years old when she danced for the very first time. With only one month of training, she performed with her classmates in her school’s annual celebration dance show. Being recognized for her passion and graceful technique, she was encouraged by others to continue dancing. Today, she can be seen in almost every class that Studio K has to offer. She’s always willing to try new styles, learn new techniques and push herself to new limits, all with a smile on her face. “I realized that being graceful, expressive and pushing the body to the edges of impossibility with fluid movements defines dance. I’ve been enjoying all of the styles, and would want to be someone who can be a complete dancer and not limit myself,” said Meena.

Originally from Texas, Meena moved to Orlando three years ago for a software engineer position, and now a freelance engineer, she continues to take on new projects and loves to work with new people. When she’s not working with clients or dancing it out on the Studio K floor, she enjoys cooking new dishes for family and friends, keeping up with the latest fashion trends, taking long drives, and reading and soaking up as much sun as she can. Congratulations, Meena, on being our Studio K Member of the Month!

What is your favorite class at Studio K?

My favorite classes at Studio K are Hip Hop Xtreme Cardio, Country Girl Choreography, Burlesque, Sexy Salsa Fusion, Zumba, HOT HULA fitness, and Flash Mob Cardio.

Do you find that dance is a great way to stay in shape?

Dancing is an ideal way to stay in shape! Moving to the beats of the music, twisting and turning in a rhythm that works your body, helps it to stay in top form.

What motivational advice can you give someone who is starting a new workout routine?

Just step into the studio, watch the dancers and see how amazing it is. Then when you plan to start, try to motivate yourself from within and don’t give up.

What do you look for in a workout that will keep you coming back for more?

I don’t know what it is that I look for, but dancing has been my passion long lost in the sands of time. Studio K has been the place where I rediscovered it. I will always keep coming back.

If you could tell anyone one thing about being a member of Studio K, what would it be?

If you are not a dancer, come to Studio K and become one. If you are a good dancer, come to Studio K and get better. If you hate dancing, come to Studio K, and you might just fall in love with it.

If you could be anything at all in this world, what would you be?

Who I am now, is who I would want to be. Anything else in this world is a chance I wouldn’t take because I know that it can’t get any better than this.

What is one motto you choose to live by?

“Wild, silly or simple, just follow my instincts. Get started and get going.”

Orlando, FL, March 7, 2010 – RTC Entertainment (www.rtcentertainment.com), a non-profit organization dedicated to producing empowering entertainment for children, , is once again making it’s way to East London, South Africa with their “A Fighting Chance” (AFC) tour to perform 25 shows over 20 days from March 14, 2012 through April 2, 2012.

The event, offered free to all schools and students ages 8 through 13, (grades 3-6) focuses heavily on anti-bullying and anti-violence themes, and encourages a healthy lifestyle through a humorous comedic performance. Presented by Emmy Award-winning comedic motivational speaker for school students, Joe Manno, the production serves as an effective way to carry a valuable message to children struggling with the everyday challenges of being a preteen.

“At RTC Entertainment, we know the value of teaching through story and amusement,” says Manno. “It’s my passion. It’s what I love to do. If I can make a child laugh while getting them to understand there’s no one like them, they’re one of a kind, and they make a difference”– mission accomplished.”

Success of previous AFC shows have been recognized by letters of commendation from various dignitaries, governmental agencies, and educators throughout the USA. Now, the goal worldwide is to reach thousands of children in this latest South Africa “mini tour,” as hundreds of thousands have already seen the AFC show in the USA, and last year, over 3000 saw a first successful showing in East London. RTC hopes to double or triple these numbers with this new additional outreach.

RTC Entertainment is confident that the lessons learned through this unique comedic style will prove to be effective long term. “It is not education, and it is not entertainment – it is a movement. We are moving children into more productive lives. Kids are kids no matter where they are.” says Anthony DeRosa, VP and Executive Producer at RTC. “Motivating and inspiring, worldwide – it has a lasting effect.”

Orlando, FL, March 1, 2012 – Prestige Vision, Inc. (www.prestigevision.com), a worldwide visual marketing company servicing the yachting, private jet, and corporate industries, has become a global leader traveling nearly 200 miles around the world for Fortune 50 Companies, providing their innovative marketing technology products and revolutionizing the industries they serve.

Established in 2008, Prestige Vision was created by Co-Founders Vincent Finetti and Michael Hrustaliov. Finetti, 32, travels the world approximately 200 days of the year to meet executives of the yachting, private jet and luxury hotel industries. Based in his home office in British Columbia, Canada, he and Hrustaliov, 29, lead a team of 25 photographers, designers and developers worldwide.

In December 2007, Finetti was working as a new boat broker when he met Hrustaliov, a young talented programmer and designer. In January 2008, the two purchased an SLR Camera, and after a few months of preparation, sold their first walk-through virtual tour to a local yacht builder. In October 2008, they attended their first international boat show in Fort Lauderdale, FL, and the company growth began immediately.

“The company began at the beginning of the financial crisis when a large number of boats and yachts became available, and manufacturing companies had difficulty selling their inventories,” said Finetti. “We quickly saw an efficient and affordable solution to aggressively market and sell their vessels, while providing the marketing tour technology that Prestige Vision could offer.”

Today, the corporation serves over 170 shipyards worldwide and has been present at boat shows all over the world including: Australia, South America, Asia, Middle East, Europe, North America, and the Caribbean. With the growth and success of the yachting division, the company now also offers the same solutions in the aviation industry, providing services to some of the most prestigious aircraft manufacturing companies worldwide, and is currently present in aviation shows across five continents.

While Finetti was focusing on sales, Hrustaliov focused on building operations in Manila, Philipines. In the meantime, both entrepreneurs recruited local photographers and account managers in different locations worldwide to reinforce their services and to offer a global presence.

“We never put a single ad in a magazine or in any media outlet, and generate 90% of our sales from trade shows,” said Hrustaliov. “Our local service associated with our offshore operation allows us to have low operating expenses which means greater value and lower cost for our clients. We take great pride in that.”

In 2011, Prestige Vision opened a small office in New York focusing on mobile device solutions such as App development for iPhone/iPad and mobile walk-through virtual tours. Now in 2012, the company works with top Fortune 50 companies, and is currently the only corporation of its kind to serve as a leader within its target industries. Its virtual tour technology is highly acclaimed and is recognized all over the world.
