Manny Rose and Rebecca Rose
Manny Rose has always loved to dance. Trained by Andrew Currie who was a principal dancer in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s CATS, Starlight Express, and La Cauge Aux Folles, Manny teaches a unique style of Hip Hop which varies from a pop video influence such as Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake to the Pussy Cat Dolls. His other styles include: Musical Theater, Jazz, Lyrical and The Classic Cabaret. Manny made his Hollywood debut serving as a principal dancer in the motion picture, Gods and Generals starring Robert Duvall and Mira Sorvino, as well as serving as an extra in the television series Buffy The Vampire Slayer. His proudest moment to date has been teaching a class with Kimberly Wyatt of the Pussycat Dolls in the UK.
Manny’s choreography has been used for the Miss Hibiscus Beauty Pageant Opening as well as the cancer event, Relay for Life. Manny’s theater background includes choreography and acting in: Grease in the role of Danny and choreographer; Peter Pan in the role of Hook; Guys and Dolls choreographer, Annie Get Your Gun in the role of Cheo and Russian Dancer, Hello Dolly in the role of Cornelious Hackel/Choreographer; Hairspray in the role of Link/Choreographer.
Rebecca Rose has been trained in dance for the past 17 years in styles including: Ballet, Point, Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary and Hip Hop. She began her Hollywood acting debut when she was a young girl shooting commercials for Under Amour Sports Clothing. Rebecca was also a featured dancer in Step Up 2, as well as has appeared in film and television including: Bumper, Rocket Science, He’s Just Not That Into You, Past Life, Gossip Girl, Sex And the City and Desperate Housewives. Currently, Rebecca and her fiance Manny are both certified Zumba Instructors and are teaching Zumba and dance workshops around the country.
Together, this engaged couple, have won several awards including: Outstanding Performance, Judges Choice for Favorite Choreography – Choreographer on the Rise. They have also won Platinum and High Gold Awards for NYCDA, Starpower, Showstoppers, JUMP, Hall of Fame, and the West Coast Dance Explosion.
